A book I found in the wall
(2022)

The book was found in 200 Church Street, Middletown, CT, where I lived in my first year moving to United States. I pulled it out of a hole on the wall.

With the help of archivists from Olin Library and Davison Art Center, I learned that the photo book was created by a student (name hidden under confidentiality) who attended Wesleyan University from 1988 to 1992. We deduce that he attempt to identify traces left behind by government officals who spys on him for months. The book was later used by another student to take notes on bird watching and fishing.

We are still searching for the student who took the notes. Please reach out if you can help or if that’s you who wrote down the notes, many thanks in advance.
